Archive: Archivio Storico Marco Garzia

Born in Traversetolo in 1902, Alberto Dal Co’ – uncle to the Fontana Sisters – worked as a shoemaker before moving to Rome where he first opened a bespoke shoe shop, becoming very popular with stars and celebrities of those times. Among Dal Co’s clients were Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida, Linda Christian, Rita Hayworth, Princess Soraya and Brigitte Bardot. Throughout his career Dal Co’ collaborated with different designers and historical Italian fashion houses, from the Fontana Sisters to Fabiani, Lancetti, Schuberth and Valentino.

People, Places, Projects, Plans, Special moments, all connected in my journal of memoires. My memoirs, seeking for the good times lived by me & by the others. I believe in gentle hood and in nomad thinking. I believe in the progress of humankind and hope this will happen during my lifetime. Welcome aboard!
